Our Swiss brown are locally grown in a clean indoor air-conditioning room. It is the baby of the Portobello family, Swiss Browns are brown button mushrooms with a bolder, more stronger taste. They can be eaten raw, and will add a stronger mushroom flavor and beautiful woody color to cooked dishes. Firmer and more dense than White Buttons, Swiss Browns have slightly less moisture content and hold their shape better when cooked. Apparently it has better shelf life compare to white button mushroom. This makes them ideal for kebabs and perfect for risottos, stir fries, mushroom soup, pizza and stews
